Weekend Christmas Tree Assistants- Seasonal

Haddenham Garden Centre is an independent family owned business that has been established for over 45 years. We are proud members of the Garden Centre Association and pride ourselves on our high standards, excellent customer service levels and the quality of our products.

We are currently looking to recruit two enthusiastic and hands on weekend Christmas Tree Assistants to assist us with our Christmas Tree sales during the festive season. The roles are temporary and will involve working the following weekends.

• Saturday 29th November and 30th November
• Saturday 6th December and Sunday 7th December
• Saturday 13th December and Sunday 14th December
• Saturday 20th December and Sunday 21st December

The hours of work will be 9am to 5.30pm on a Saturday and 9.30am to 5pm on a Sunday.

The main duties of the role include:

• Delivering excellent customer service to customers, which includes greeting customers and assisting them with their Christmas tree selection
• Lifting Christmas trees and carrying them to customers cars
• Netting the Christmas trees
• Assisting the Planteria and Landscaping Manager with general maintenance which will include sweeping up and tidying the plant/Christmas tree area.
• Collecting trolleys from the car park and returning them to the trolley bays
• Providing support to other areas of the business as requested

Skills/Experience required for the role:

• Must be fit and capable of manual work as the role will involve bending and heavy lifting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to quickly build a good rapport with customers and colleagues
• Able to work on own initiative
• Happy to do a role in which you will predominantly be working outside
