As the air turns crisp outside try bringing comfort and warmth into your home with autumn décor, we have some gorgeous seasonal pieces currently in stock, see our tips below for how to style them.
Colours
Introducing the right colours is one of the best ways to get your home feeling autumnal. Think earthy tones that reflect the change in the season such as burnt orange, terracotta, olive green and ochre. You can compliment these with neutrals such as cream and beige to balance everything out. Using these colours as highlights in your home really emphasises the warm cosy feelings and can help to banish any blues from the weather getting colder outside.

Scented Candles
Lighting a candle is a great way to create ambience in your home, filling the room with a cosy glow and warm scent. During the autumn months popular fragrances include spiced pumpkin, cinnamon, apple and vanilla. We have a large range of candles, but our current favourites are the St Eval Orange & Cinnamon and the Gisela Graham Spiced Pumpkin and Patchouli. Perfect for coffee tables, kitchens, sideboards, and table centrepieces – the possibilities are endless and it gives you a great excuse for buying more than one new candle!
Reuse the jars/containers after you have burnt them and use them for storage or as a decorative piece.

Get Cosy
One excellent way to dive into a new book is by setting up a cosy reading nook at home. Create an inviting space by draping soft, chunky throws and mixing and matching cushions in rich autumn hues over your favourite chair or sofa. This will give you a snug spot to unwind and enjoy your reading time.

Natural Elements
Make use of any small branches you have recently cut down from the garden or dry stems with autumn colours and display them in a vase. You can even add seasonal hanging decorations for Halloween or Christmas.
Adding a wreath on your door is the perfect autumnal welcome when you get home, or try hanging above your fireplace or on internal doors instead. Houseplants are also another way to bring the outdoors in so to speak. Compliment with pots and planters in the autumnal colours mentioned above.

Table Accessories
Whether you are hosting a dinner party or simply enjoying the seasonal décor, setting an autumnal table is easy. Begin by creating a centrepiece with the Gisela Graham Ceramic Pumpkins and add dried foliage or pinecones from your garden for a textured display. then use the Gisela Graham nature-inspired plates and bowls to serve your food.
Consider making place cards using leaves from the garden and writing your guests’ names on them with pen. These small touches will tie the entire look together, making your table feel like a true celebration of the season.

Lighting
Now the evenings are getting a little darker, try adding some outdoor lighting that can be admired through windows such as string lights around trees or pathway lights to illuminate walkways. We have lots of solar, mains and battery-powered options in the shop.
Another option is Tenderflame, the safe solution to create a cosy atmosphere. The candle is a safe and eco-friendly alternative to traditional candles, using a special steel wick and a non-toxic fuel. It produces a clean, smoke-free flame that doesn’t release harmful particles, making it ideal for indoor use. We have gift options and starter kits also available on our Tenderflame stand.
